erie-gives-clrThis year, CVC gratefully received $10,626 plus matching funds from Erie Gives Day thanks to you! These proceeds go directly to providing counseling services free of charge to victims, their significant others, or witnesses to crimes.

Last year, we counseled more than 900 sexual assaults victims–(269 were children) and over 5,000 victims of other crimes.

CVC’s Prevention Education Department works tirelessly to provide education programs and training to schools, businesses, allied professionals, faith-based institutions, and other community groups on a variety of topics from:

  • Sexual Abuse
  • Internet Safety
  • Bullying
  • Cyber-Bullying
  • Boundaries
  • Youth Violence
  • Sexual Assault
  • Human Trafficking
  • Mandated Reporting
  • Identity Theft.

Nearly 530 prevention/education programs were presented to more than 19,500 participants this past year.

It’s only through collaboration and collective impact that we can eliminate the prevalence of these crimes. We still have work to do, but we believe we are changing the culture of our city one client at a time by building resiliency and offering strength and support to help others along their journey- no matter who they are and no matter where they’re from.
